With the season now into it's fourth round, this years Club Sand Wedge golf tournament is hotting up to be one of the best!
I'm only say this because right now the leader of the table is ME!! Not sure how long that will last though, since anyone down to about 8th position could catch and pass me with one bad round on my behalf!
Check out the current leader board here

Pretty Plain, Or Pretty Spectacular??? |

Well it’s been almost a year since my inaugural hike into the Kosciusko National Park. I now have a total of three hikes under my belt so we decided it was once again time to take the long drive south and head into the countries biggest park. Our target this year was to walk right the way down the Pretty Plain valley, and then on to a climb of Mount Jugungal (2062m). Easter weekend was always going to be a busy time to do this trek, but we needed a full four days of walking to ensure we had time to complete the huge target. An estimate of 60km walking, on about a 50/50 split between track walking and off track walking. After soliciting several people that we thought might be interested in this hike, when it finally came down to making a commitment, it was only Eddy and I that could step up to the plate! This is our story…

Melbourne 2006 |
April 01, 2006 |
Well another year and another melbourne GP is over. There was a large contigent from the heathcote and pawson familes make the trip south. Mark, Darren, Tanya, Graham, Janita, Sarah and Benjamin! We were very kindly put up by a friend of the pawson family, and they were way too good to us while we were there!
Mark and I went to the track on Saturday with Benjamin to watch the preliminaries. I had forgotten how cold Melbourne can be! It was freezing, and wet too! Benjamin managed to fall asleep and we wrapped him in a tarp to stay dry!
On race day, Darren and I made the usual sprint to the fence and managed to get the perfect position again! Weather was great, not too hot and not too cool. The race was very exciting, and we even got to witness a crash right in front of us up against the wall!
